  18. Thank you very much for buying the "CAPCOM Original Screen Saver". 
  19. Following is an explanation of the set-up procedures for [Screen Saver] 
  20. and [Extra Applications].

  22. Windows 3.1 Set-Up
  23. Select the drive containing this CD-ROM from [File Manager]
  24. Move the title you want to set-up into the Directory.
  25. Double click the "SETUP.EXE" file.
  26. From this point, please refer to the Set-Up Program instructions.

  28. Windows 95 Set-Up
  29. Select the drive containing this CD-ROM from [Explorer]
  30. Move the title you want to set-up into the Directory.
  31. Double click the "SETUP.EXE" file.
  32. From this point, please refer to the Set-Up Program instructions.

  34. When the Set-Up is complete . . .

  36. About [Screen Saver]

  38. [For Windows 3.1]

  40. Open the [Control Panel] file from the [Main] menu of the [Program 
  41. Manager].
  42. Open [Set-Up Picture] from the [Control Panel].
  43. Click on [Set-Up], and the [Set-Up] window will appear.
  44. The modules appear as a pull-down menu. Please choose the 
  45. module you want to appear on your screen.

  49. Open the [Control Panel] file from the [My Computer] menu.
  50. Open the [Picture's Property] file from the [Control Panel].
  51. Click on the [Screen Saver] button, and the set-up window for the 
  52. screen saver will be displayed.

  54. All the character modules are contained in the pull-down menu, so 
  55. please select the one you would like to view.

  57. about Extra Application
  58.  
  59. When you set-up the file in the Directory you specify, it is compiled in 
  60. the following way:

  67. [APP] includes the applications [Calculator], [Calendar], and [Clock].
  68. [VIEW] includes the [Bit Map Viewer] applications.
  69. [(Title name)BMP] contains Bit Map files.

  71. #In the [Calculator] application, no error message is displayed if 
  72. you try to divide by 0 (zero). The divisor remains displayed.
  73. It is an eight(8) digit calculator, with repeating fractions being
  74. rounded up on the eight digit.

  78. For each title in the CD-ROM, the sounds or expressions used by each 
  79. character are included in the "WAVE" directory.

  88. Conditions of Use

  90.   Thank you for your buying a GAIA Associates Inc. product. The 
  91.   following Conditions of Use apply to this Software Product, and describe 
  92.   our after-sales service.  Please read this carefully. By installing this 
  93.   Software, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions of this 
  94.   license agreement. If you are not able to agree to these Conditions of 
  95.   Use, do not install. Please return this Software to the shop from which 
  96.   you bought it. The price shall be reimbursed. If you agree to these 
  97.   Conditions of Use, please fill in the enclosed User Registration Card and 
  98.   return it to us.

  100. Conditions of Use
  101.  
  102.   GAIA Associates Inc. (hereinafter called "we") grants you the right to 
  103.   use the CAPCOM Original Screen Saver (hereinafter call "Program") 
  104.   under the following conditions, and deems that you agree to these 
  105.   conditions. GAIA Associates Inc. makes no warranties, express or 
  106.   implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of 
  107.   merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, regarding the 
  108.   Program.
  109.  
  110. 1.Term
  111. (1)The Conditions of Use shall become effective from the date you 
  112.      receive the Program.
  113. (2)You are entitled to terminate the right to use the Program at any 
  114.      time, by informing us to the effect in writing, no less than one 
  115.      month prior to the date you wish to terminate.  
  116. (3)GAIA Associates Inc. maintains the right to terminate the right to 
  117.      use the Program at any time the provisions set out in these 
  118.      Conditions of Use are violated.
  119. (4)The right to use the Program shall remain effective unless the 
  120.      conditions stipulated in (1.2) and (1.3) occur.
  121. (5)In the event that the right to use the Program is cancelled, all 
  122.      other rights described in these Conditions of Use (excluding the 
  123.      right to reimbursement of the product price set forth in (7.2)) 
  124.      shall also expire at the same time. Except in the case described in 
  125.      (7.2), you should destroy the Program, and any and all duplicates 
  126.      of the Program, immediately after the termination of the right to 
  127.      use the Program.
  128.  
  129. 2.Right to Use
  130. 1)You are entitled to use the Program on one computer at a time only.
  131.  
  132. 3.Duplication of the Program
  133. 1)You are entitled to make one copy of the Program, in a machine-
  134.     legible form, for backup purposes. However, the program can be 
  135.     used on only one computer at a time.
  136. 2)Any and all permissible duplicates of the Program, in whatever 
  137.     form, are described in these Conditions of Use.
  138. 3)Any and all duplicates of the Program should carry a description of 
  139.     copyright, and other rights set forth in the attachment to the 
  140.     Program.
  141. 4)These Conditions of Use do not transfer to you any intangible 
  142.     property rights to the Program.
  143.  
  144. 4. Transfer of Rights
  145. 1)You do not have the right to sub-license, assign, or transfer the 
  146.     Program, or the rights to use the Program, to any third party.
  147. 2)Do not duplicate, alter, or combine the Program in any way, except 
  148.     in the cases expressly provided for in these Conditions of Use.
  149.  
  150. 5.Reverse Compiling
  151.     You may not attempt to reverse-compile, or reverse-assemble the 
  152.     Program.
  153.  
  154. 6.Limitation of Guarantees
  155. 1)GAIA Associates Inc. does not warrant, guarantee, or make any 
  156.    representations regarding the use or results of the use of the 
  157.    Program in terms of its correctness, accuracy, reliability, currentness 
  158.    or otherwise. The entire risk as to the results and performance of 
  159.    the Product is assumed by you.
  160. 2)Irrespective of the provisions of (6.1), if the product is found to be
  161.    defective, provided you have returned the User Registration Card to
  162.    us during the first year of the date of purchase, we shall supply to
  163.    you a revised program, or program for revision, 
  164.    (hereinafter call "Revised Program"), or information concerning any bugs. 
  165.    However, GAIA Associates Inc. will revise or update the Program 
  166.    at its own discretion. The Revised Program shall be available to 
  167.    users who have sent in their User Registration Card, and have purchased 
  168.    the software within the previous 1 year of the date of revision. 
  169.    The Revised Program supplied to you shall be deemed the Program.
  170. 3)In the case that the recording media of the Program is physically 
  171.    defective (limited to cases where such defect hinders your use of the 
  172.    Program), we shall replace such media free of charge if you return 
  173.    the Program to us within 14 days of the date purchase, together 
  174.    with a copy of the purchase receipt. GAIA Associates Inc. will 
  175.    replace the Program only in cases where we recognize that such 
  176.    defect is our responsibility. This shall be our only obligation with 
  177.    respect to the recording media.
  178.  
  179. 7.Limitation of Liability
  180.    Our liability to you, and your relief, are as follows:
  181. 1)In no event will GAIA Associates Inc., and its directors, officers, 
  182.    employees or agents (collectively GAIA Associates Inc.) be liable to 
  183.    you or any third party, for any consequential, incidental or indirect 
  184.    damages (including damages for loss of business profits, business 
  185.    interruption, loss of business information, and the like) arising out of 
  186.    the use or inability to use the Program even if GAIA Associates Inc. 
  187.    has been advised of the possibility of such damages. GAIA 
  188.    Associates Inc.'s entire liability and your exclusive remedy under 
  189.    this warranty will be to refund the cost of the Program.  
  190. 2)In the case that we are not able to replace a physically defective 
  191.    recording media, as stipulated in (6.3), you shall have the right to 
  192.    terminate this license agreement. We shall reimburse the price you 
  193.    paid for the Program in exchange for the Program, and any and all 
  194.    duplicates of the Program. This shall be GAIA Associates Inc.'s sole 
  195.    responsibility and liability.

  197. 8.Other
  198. 1)Any dispute arising from this Contract shall be resolved under the 
  199.    jurisdiction of The Tokyo District Court.
